YPNG: April Calendar of Events in San Luis Obispo County

Ryan Baker is President of the Young Professional’s Networking Group (www.ypng.org), and they are a 100% non-profit organization. All year-end net profits go to local charities and other nonprofits. Many of their events are open to the public/non-members and not just for “young professionals,” but for the entire community.

I must pat myself on the back.  Last month I made it to all six events I mentioned in my blog and none disappointed.  I look forward to the same thing for the month of April!

Avila Beach Pier

Avila Beach

YPNG offers a Social the first Wednesday of every month and a hike the second Wednesday of every month. These events are free and open to the public. They are a great opportunity to come and meet some new people and find out what YPNG is about.  This month the  social is at The Courtyard by Marriot in SLO, and the hike is the Avila Ridge Trail.

This is one of two special fundraising events that YPNG puts on every year.  Grab a mask, your fancy duds and join us at the Ludwick Center on April 26th to benefit Woods Humane Society. Enjoy an enticing evening of gambling and dancing with local wine and beer and savory appetizers. At the end of the night exchange your gaming chips for raffle tickets and put your luck to the test at winning some amazing gift baskets from local businesses.  Purchase your tickets online.

We are a 100 percent non-profit organization and all year-end net profits go to local charities and non-profits. Many of our events are open to the public/non-members and we encourage you to check us out because our events are not just for “young professionals” – they are for the entire SLO community.

The winter months tend to slow down for YPNG events since it is a busy time for many people and we don’t want to interfere with holiday functions. For the month of December we have two events – our monthly social and our monthly hike.
