San Luis Obispo County gas prices the highest in the state after recent jump

by Central Coast Lending

Gas prices have surged in California, and San Luis Obispo County has been hit the hardest. Average prices rose about 50 cents over the past five days, as refinery disruptions (fire, power outage, pipeline corrosion) have reduced supply on the market.

The average price for a gallon of gasoline moved up to $4.67 on the state level. San Luis Obispo County eclipses the average by $0.08, beating out metros like San Francisco and Los Angeles. From the Tribune article:

The highest average price in the state was $4.75 in the San Luis Obispo, Atascadero and Paso Robles area. San Francisco’s price was just over $4.73 a gallon, followed by San Diego at $4.71 and the Los Angeles area at $4.70.
