Enjoy beer, music and fun at the first annual Morro Bay Beer Festival

by Molly Schiff

Come join us for beer, food and live entertainment at Morro Bay’s first annual Beer Festival! This Saturday, October 20th from 12 to 4, enjoy a selection of over 40 breweries, food, and live music from local band Headshine at Morro Bay’s Tidelands Park. The best part? You’ll be helping the local community while enjoying the great weather and great beer! 100% of the proceeds will benefit Morro Bay’s 4th of July celebration.

“Morro Bay 4th is the nonprofit that puts on the 4th of July festivities in Morro Bay. This year, our group worked with an event coordinator to organize a beer festival fundrasier for Morro bay 4th.”

Central Coast Lending’s own Dan Podesto, who’s also president of Morro Bay 4th, weighs in on the event:

“We decided to put on this event because we have a great seaside venue in Tidelands Park, and because we believe this will be a popular event that has the potential to raise a significant amount of money for the 4th of July.  The Morro Bay Beer Festival will focus on craft beers; unique, unusual, delicious beers that will excite any beer lover.  The headline music act, Headshine, is a local band just finishing a world tour.”

Tickets are $28 in advance or $38 at the door, and include a souvenir tasting glass, unlimited beer tastings, music and fun! Your can purchase yours here. Come out and enjoy some beer, music and beautiful weather while supporting Morro Bay’s 4th of July. We’ll see you there!
