CoreLogic: 1.3 million people out from underwater mortgage

According to a report by CoreLogic, there are now 1.3 million fewer people who owe more than there home is worth. This improvement is through the end of June and reflects the trend of rising home prices has swept the nation.

Down from a peak of 12.1 million loans, there are now 10.8 million underwater homeowners with a mortgage in the United States.

Despite the gains, 22.4 percent of homeowners with a mortgage still owed more than there home was worth at the end of July.
