June U.S import prices drop dramatically

by Rylan Stewart

U.S import prices in June saw the largest drop in over three years, due mostly to the steep drop in imported oil costs (down 10.5 percent). Import prices have only risen once in the past seven months, and saw their steepest decline this past month since December 2008. Overall import prices dropped again (down 2.7 percent) for the third straight month.
